Summer Programs

Musical Innovations
June 21 (Saturday) 10:30 AM
Bring the whole family to Kent Memorial Library and
discover the power of musical instruments. Using a flute and
Oboe, City Winds Duo will bring the story of Peter and the Wolf to life through audience participation and hands on
activities—like trying-out a violin or one of the many percussion instruments. Registration for this program will begin Friday, June 6.

Zoo on the Go
June 25 (Wednesday) 1:30 PM
Children ages 3 and up are invited to meet a fox, armadillo, hedge hog, chinchilla, tortoise, and other animals while learning about their diet, behavior and habitat. Registration for this hour-long program will begin
Wednesday, June 11.

Spoon Man
July 1 (Tuesday) 1:30 PM

Jimmy wanted to play the drums but instead he plays the spoons! Interactive comedy, hilarious impressions, a few crazy sing-a-longs
make this Rock ‘n’ Roll style Rap-Spoon player an act you won’t want to miss. The whole family will “eat this one up.” Registration will begin Tuesday, June 17.

Try your luck at “Library Lingo Bingo”
July 9 (Wednesday) 1:30 PM

It’s the game of bingo but with a twist! Children having completed
grades K – 4 are invited to play Library Lingo Bingo, have some
snacks, and win really cool prizes (you may even learn a bit about the Dewey Decimal System). Registration is limited and will begin
Wednesday, June 25.

Keith Johnson, Just for the Fun of It
with Keith Johnson
July 12 (Saturday) 10:30 AM

Looking for something to do? Bring the whole family to Kent Memorial Library for an hour of slime tossing, interactive magic tricks, spinning plates, fun with yo-yo’s and zany jokes that are, well, “just for the fun of it.” Registration is limited and will begin Friday, June 27.

Story Time
July 15 (Tuesday) 10:30 AM

Books are brain food! Children ages 3 – 5 are invited to join Wendy Taylor for tasty stories and a craft (snacks will be served). Registration will begin Tuesday, July 1.

Learn Mosaics
July 23(Wednesday) 1:30 PM

Children having completed grades K – 4 are invited to make projects using square ceramic tiles. Registration for this hour long program will begin Wednesday, July 9.

Finale
August 2 (Saturday) 10:30 AM
