Programs for Children
Fall Story Time
Beginning Tuesday, September 18
or Wednesday, September 19, children are invited to join us
for four-weeks of stories, flannel boards, finger-plays and more.
Story times begin at 10:15 a.m. for the 2.5 year olds
and run for 20 minutes, and for children ages 3 - 5 story time
will begin at 10:45 a.m. and run for 30 minutes.
Registration begins September 4.
Halloween Costume Party
On Wednesday, October 17 at 10:30 a.m., children
ages 3 - 5 are invited to show-off their Halloween
costume at the library. During the 45-minute
Halloween Costume Party, children
will hear a Halloween story, play a Halloween game, make Halloween crafts, decorate a Halloween
cookie, munch on donuts, drink apple cider
and participate in a
Halloween parade around the library.
Registration begins Wednesday, October 3.
Time for Tots
At 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, October 23 or Wednesday,
October 24, toddlers ages 24 to 30 months and a parent or caregiver are invited to Time for Tots. During the
four-week
hour-long program children will hear stories,
make crafts, sing songs, and be part of an
interactive playtime.
Registration begins on Tuesday, October 9.
Halloween Party
Are you up for some ghoulish fun?
Children in grades K - 4 are invited to a Halloween Party
on Wednesday, October 24 at 3:30 p.m.
For one hour children can make a Halloween mask,
decorate a
trick-or-treat bag, play a Halloween game, munch on donuts and drink apple cider. There will even be some
Halloween tricks
along with treats!
Registration begins Wednesday, October 10.
Looking to get out of the house and talk to other grown-ups?
Do you want to meet other families with children the
same age as yours? Kent Memorial Library is offering a Friday Play-Group from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
Starting Friday, November 2, 2012 and every Friday until April 26, 2013, children, parents and caregivers are welcome.
No registration or town residency required--just drop in.
