Summer Reading Program for Kids Whether you are a seasoned reader or like to be read to, we have a summer reading program for you. One World Many Stories is our theme this summer. The Kids' program lasts six week and is intended for age 3 to grade 4. Each week that you read, hand in a list of your books and get a prize (starting June 20). If you read four out of six weeks, you get a grand prize. Yay! (By the way, the books you read this summer can be counted for the library as well as the Spaulding & McAlister summer reading programs. |

Puppet Show Children ages 3 - 9 Tuesday, June 21 1:30 p.m. Registration begins, June 7 |
John McDouough of Pumpernickel Puppets will captivate the imagination of the young, and young at heart, in this 45-minute presentation of The Frog Prince. This program is recommended for children ages 3 and up. |

Fabric Painting and Tie Dye Children ages 6 - 10 Wednesday, June 29 1:30 p.m. Registration begins June 15 |
Bring a pre-washed cotton white tee shirt to the library and create unique designs using tie dye. But wait, there's more! During this hour-long event, each crafter will receive a cotton tote bag to decorate using fabric paint. Dye and paint can stain so remember---bring along a smock. |

Story Time Children ages 3 - 5 Wednesday, July 6 10:30 a.m. Registration begins June 22 |
Pack your bags and join us for a whirlwind tour of the world. We'll be flying through the skies, cruising across the ocean and choo-chooing over mountains during this 45-minute adventure filled with stories and a craft. |

Kahana Hula Luau Show Children ages 5 -10 Tuesday, July 12 1:30 p.m. Registration begins June 28 |
Children will love this interactive luau. Learn to hula with Kahana Hula as they bring Polynesian culture to us using music, dance, stories, and songs. You won't want to miss this colorful and festive 45-minute event. |

The whole family will enjoy this 45-minute participatory concert, featuring Grammy nominated performer Jay Mankita. Don't know the lyrics? No problem. The lyrics for Songs for a Living Planet will be projected on a screen to help you sing-along. |

New England Air Museum Outreach Children ages 5 - 10 Saturday, July 23 10:00 a.m. Registration begins July 8 |
Come to Kent Memorial Library to build, fly and learn the techniques of successful toy airplane aeronautics. During this 60-minute presentation the New England Air Museum of Windsor Locks will share their expertise using hands-on activities. |

Papillion-Purveyor of Positive Pirating Family Program Wednesday, July 27 1:30 p.m. Registration begins July 13 |
Ahoy there matey! Do you know that the code of a pirate includes recognizing the "good treasures of the earth?" Celebrate the lore and life of pirates with Papillion. Hailing from the great port of New Orleans, Papillion strikes a cord with rambunctious rhymes, songs and adventure stories. |
